Refund Policy

Last updated: May 23, 2026

1. Scope

This Refund Policy describes how Accordo handles refunds and disbursements after a booking has been confirmed and paid for. It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service and is binding on all Accordo users.

Bookings that have not yet been paid for can be cancelled at any time by either party with no financial consequences. The tiers below apply only to bookings in the CONFIRMED state (payment captured by Stripe).

2. Cancellation Tiers

The refund and musician-compensation amounts depend on how many days before the event the cancellation is initiated:

Time before eventRefund to organizerPaid to musician
30 or more days100%0%
14 to 29 days50%50%
7 to 13 days25%75%
Less than 7 days0%100%

The percentages above apply to the agreed musician amount (the gross booking amount minus Accordo's service fees). The organizer's service fee is refunded only at the 100% tier and is otherwise retained by Accordo to cover payment-processing and platform costs.

3. How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing typically completes within 5 to 10 business days, though bank timing may vary. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated and a second confirmation when it settles.

Musician compensation, where applicable, is transferred to the musician's connected Stripe account after the cancellation is processed. A separate hold of 24 hours applies after any event end to allow disputes to be filed.

4. Disputes and Chargebacks

Either party may file a dispute through the platform within 24 hours after the event end. While a dispute is open, funds are held and not released to the musician. Accordo will review the evidence submitted by both parties and issue a final, binding resolution.

Disputes filed directly with a payment network (chargebacks) are handled by Stripe according to its dispute-resolution process. The booking will be marked as disputed and funds held pending the outcome.

5. Force Majeure

In the event of cancellation caused by events outside either party's reasonable control (natural disaster, government action, venue loss, serious illness, etc.), Accordo may, at its sole discretion, apply a more favorable tier or issue a full refund. Documentation may be required.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email and on this page. Changes apply only to bookings created after the change's effective date.
